Many years back, I used to have a mindset that Valentines day is stupid without a valentine to spend with. And that I'll feel sad about not having someone to spend with.

That was then.

Till the Valentines day tradition with Mag love and Barb lovelove, back in Anderson Secondary days started among the few of us.
For the couple of years, and for as long as i can remember, Valentines in Anderson to me is like the joyfulness from how much a fat kid sees a tasty cupcake :D HEHE

Now as I'm typing this post out, even after Anderson days in 2006, I realised that I'm not so much into the Valentine's day culture with just spending the day with someone special but rather mini gifts giving and catching up with awesome friends.

2007, 2009 and 2011 were the years I officially did spend with who-was-then-the-so-called-someone-special. Other than those years, I can't really piece the events of what exactly happened together.

Anyway, the point of this post is that be it whether or not if you're either single or attached, (or Single but attached, or whatsnot :p), take Valentine's day as a "Pre Christmas" kind of season to show and express your love to close ones how important they are. Yet, at the end of the day, its not just expressing love and give thanks just on Valentines day itself but consistently be thankful and show them the love!

Be it sending flowers (even though its overpriced and overrated), whip up a meal personally, sending a text message, make a cute phone call whatever. At the end of the day, its not the gift that matter, but the thoughts behind it.

Xoxos,
Zoe
